Global Village is a partnership of two super passionate and driven artists, Jason Pugh & Ivy Orth. Jason Pugh, originally from Johannesburg, started Global Village in South Africa as an event design and promotions company. He used his vast experience in the film scenic industry to apply such ethics and standards to the event design practices he grew. His experience as a DJ and producer added to his passion for creating surrounding environments to enhance the musical experience. His experience as a music video director helped nurture his understanding of music and design, and all contributed to his success as an artist, promoter and musician. In 2007, Global Village made London its new home. There, Global Village established itself as one of the forerunners in creative design for music events. By partnering up with Chicago born and European-raised Ivy Orth, whose talents as an illustration and backdrop artist, with experience using her art for advertising and commercial interior design in the USA and the UK, they were able to grow exponentially, and master their new medium of tensile fabric and multimedia installations. Global Village has became in house designers for over a dozen UK festival organizers, fabricating customized sets of fully immersive themed and conceptual environments, creating large scale scenery backdrops, airbrushed tensile fabric designs, 3D props and stunning visual screening for multimedia applications. Global Village creates signature techniques involving structural elements like canopies, pillars, tunnels and archways, all using multi-layered fabrics and multi-effect projectors. Global Village travels the world providing event services and immersive environmental decor for international Electronic Music Festivals including: Glade Festival, Sunrise Festival, Eclipse Festival, Fusion Festival, Ozora Festival, Sonica + many more. Global Village is currently creating new designs and preparing installs for the 2012 tour, which is getting booked up Fast! Global Village's environmental designs and multimedia explorations are represented via the label known as Psymbolic.
